In Spring 2025, Outdoor Research reinforces its position as a leader in environmentally conscious gear design with the release of its newest technical apparel lineup. This collection marks a pivotal step forward in merging performance-driven engineering with verified sustainability, responding to growing demand from eco-aware consumers and professional athletes alike.
The Deviator Wind Jacket headlines the Spring 2025 collection with its hybrid construction that targets breathability and wind resistance where they’re needed most. Built with multiple fabrics strategically placed across the body, the jacket balances insulation with active moisture management—ideal for high-output activities such as trail running, alpine climbing, and backcountry skiing.

The design includes a lightweight shell front for wind protection, paired with a more breathable stretch knit fabric along the back and underarms. This construction allows for superior thermoregulation while maintaining a low profile and packable design, making it a top choice for multi-sport users in unpredictable spring conditions.
Also new for 2025, the Ultima Soft Shell Collection introduces a technical soft shell fabric featuring a brushed, diamond-shaped grid interior. This construction not only traps warm air for insulation but also enhances mobility and breathability through its geometric design.

Designed with winter-to-spring transitions in mind, the Ultima line offers water resistance and flexibility—engineered for mountain guides, climbers, and ski tourers who demand comfort without sacrificing protection. The collection includes jackets and pants, both cut for movement and abrasion-resistant where it counts.
Perhaps the most groundbreaking element of the Spring 2025 collection is the updated Foray and Aspire 3L Jackets and Pants. These flagship rain pieces are now the first technical outerwear in the outdoor industry to achieve carbon neutrality certification, verified by Climate Impact Partners.
A PFAS-free construction with no intentionally added “forever chemicals”
Nikwax Direct.Dry, a factory-applied durable water repellent (DWR) that maintains waterproof performance while staying environmentally safe
An updated 3-layer membrane system that balances breathability and weather protection for hiking, biking, and commuting in wet climates

These pieces reflect Outdoor Research’s broader environmental commitments without compromising technical performance—a rare blend of credibility and innovation in the rainwear category.
Outdoor Research’s Spring 2025 collection showcases a refined approach to hybrid functionality, comfort, and sustainability. Each piece is designed not just to perform but to minimize its environmental footprint—meeting the expectations of a new generation of outdoor users who demand more from the gear they wear. This collection is now available through Outdoor Research retail channels and select specialty stores.
