Intro
The wild is not just a place—it is a mirror. Every climb, dive, ride, or trek is both an outer adventure and an inner revelation. We welcome stories that chart this terrain of courage, failure, triumph, and quiet reflection.
What We’re Looking For
Personal accounts of outdoor expeditions, from mountaineering to overlanding, skiing to kayaking.
Reflections on resilience, connection with nature, and lessons found beyond comfort zones.
Diverse voices and perspectives: women adventurers, cultural traditions, indigenous wisdom, or first-time explorers.
Photography and mixed-media projects that deepen the narrative.
Submission Guidelines
Book-length manuscripts, memoirs, or long-form creative nonfiction.
Original works only; English or bilingual manuscripts welcome.
Length: 20,000+ words for book projects, shorter pitches considered for series.
Send your submissions to editorialoffice@outdoorobserver.org . If you have any doubts or questions along the way, don’t hesitate to contact us—we welcome conversations as much as manuscripts.
